Windy Hollow Raceway Park is kicking off its season with events Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, Windy Hollow Dragway will host its first Test-N-Tune of the season on the 1/8-mile track. The track will also host a race with the winner taking home a trophy and $100 (if 10 or more cars enter). The event was delayed one week due to the recent flooding.
“The track was in great shape, but no one could get to it,” said track promoter Trevor Hutchins.
On Saturday, Windy Hollow Raceway Park will host its season opening car show at Applebee’s. The car show is open to dirt track cars, asphalt cars, drag cars, show cars, street cars, motorcycles and go-carts.
“In 2024, we filled every parking spot at Applebee’s with show vehicles, and even had to park some in the mall. We want to see everything and everyone at the car show,” Hutchins said.
The event will take place from 1-4 p.m., with awards being distributed at 3:30. Those participating in the car show will also have the opportunity to win one of two free half-wraps from High Octane wraps and apparel.
