The Lady Panthers shutout Owensboro, while McLean County and Hancock County both lost.
Daviess County 11, Owensboro 0
Kamryn Timmons threw a no-hitter, walking one and striking out 14 over five innings in the Lady Panthers’ 11-0 win over Owensboro. Annie Newman doubled and tripled, while Danielle Beckwith went 1-2 with three RBIs. Timmons, Callie Smith, and Briley Henry combined for six hits and four RBIs.
“We hit some balls really hard early and made some nice plays,” Daviess County head coach John Biggs said. “We stayed the course and started finding gaps. I really liked our aggressiveness on the bases. Kamryn was dominating in the circle and helped herself out at the plate.”
For the Lady Devils, Alyssa Rhineburger walked for the teams lone baserunner. Braylee Criss started in the circle, allowing three earned runs over four innings, while Paislee Hodge and Addison Hill both pitched in relief.
Muhlenberg County 6, Hancock County 1
The Lady Hornets allowed four runs in the top of the first and never fully recovered, losing to Muhlenberg County 6-1. Bella Bryant went 2-3, while Madyson Higdon drove in the team’s lone run. Bryant started on the mound, allowing three earned runs over 2 /3 innings, while Ryleigh French pitched in relief.
Ohio County 11, McLean County 0
In their first game in over two weeks, the Lady Cougars were unable to fully get going, losing to Ohio County 11-0. Shelby Rickard had the team’s lone hit, a single in the bottom of the second. Ava McCarty started in the circle, allowing three earned runs over 2 1/3 innings, while Macie Geel relieved her.
