On the girls side, the Lady Aces Ella Cason and Meridith Traylor won their singles matches.

“Daviess County girls’ team is a really good team and probably the favorite to win the regional,” Owensboro Catholic head coach Noel Clayton said. “Our boys played well against a very good Daviess County boys’ team.”

The Panthers’ Landon McDuffee won his singles match, while McDuffee and Max Sterett won on the doubles side. Daviess County’s girls’ team was led by Jenna Faulkner, Maddie Meyer, Alexa Salamah, and Kate McCain all winning their singles matches. The doubles teams of Meyer and Salamah and Ella Boswell and Faulkner emerged victorious.

“Landon picked up a great win in singles, and Max and Landon played some strong doubles and got a great win as well,” Daviess County head coach Dylan McDuffee said. “Our one doubles for the boys barely lost to a tough team. Overall, we played well against a tough Catholic team, losing 2-7. The girls had a dominant win, winning 7-2. I am very proud of everyone, and they gave it their all. A key win was Jenna Faulkner beating Madison Clark. She got past the nerves and played a great match.”
