McLean County and Owensboro both cruised over their opponents, while Apollo fell at home.

Castle 5, Apollo 1

Ryleigh Logan hit a solo homer as Apollo lost to Castle 5-1. Ty Lillpop had the Eagles’ only other hit, while Gunnar Hendricks and Jackson Carder both walked. Grayson Smith started on the mound and gave up three earned runs over two innings. Carter Kimmel and Isaac James both pitched out of the bullpen, and the duo combined for one earned run and five strikeouts.

Mclean County 16, Hart County 3

Playing their first game in over two weeks, the Cougars’ offense showed no signs of rust in their 16-3 rout of Hart County. Jax Lee went 3-4 with three RBIs, while Layden Bozarth, Hayden Hudson, and Brooks Lynam combined for four hits and six RBIs. Lee started on the mound and allowed two earned runs over two innings. Ayden Rice pitched the last three innings out of the bullpen and gave up one unearned run.

Owensboro 16, Grayson County 1

Eli Hampton hit a two-run homer and Brady Benjamin drove in four runs in the Red Devils’ 16-1 win over Grayson County. Evan Hampton went 2-3 with three RBIs, while Blake Kimbrell and Trevor DeLacey combined for three hits and five RBIs. On the mound, Will Rickard allowed one run over three innings.
