Hosting Breckinridge County, Hancock County’s boys’ team won 4-1, while the Lady Hornets won 3-2. For the Hornets, Lucas Anderson, Tyce Boiling, and Tre Condon all won their singles matches, while the doubles team of Preston Blanton and Caleb Ewing won 8-3. For the girls’, Ella Chapell, Kylie Bowlds, and Audrie Morris won their singles matches, while both of their double’s teams lost.
“I was proud of everyone’s attitude and work ethic entering and during the match,” Hancock County head coach Dan Hopkins said. “Our number two doubles team is learning how to play Varsity. I am happy the girls were able to pick up their second win.”
