Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic picked up wins, while Hancock County, Owensboro, and Trinity (Whitesville) lost.
Daviess County 92, Greenwood 52
Four Panthers scored in double-digits to power them to a 92-52 win over Greenwood. Jaxon Brown hit four threes to go along with his 19 points, while DeAaron Watkins added 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one block. Aydan Ayer was third on the team in scoring with 15 points, while Jonathan Moss recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists.
“We were really good offensively,” Daviess County head coach Neil Hayden said. “Jaxon Brown got us going early and we ended with four players in double figures. It was a well rounded performance.”
Hopkins County Central 70, Hancock County 50
Taylor Payne scored a team-high 16 points in the Hornet’s 70-50 loss to Hopkins County Central. Seth Hunt grabbed five rebounds, while Nolan Maxwell added five points, four assists, and two rebounds.
Bowling Green 96, Owensboro 54
Traveling to Bowling Green, Owensboro lost on the road 96-54. Will Hume hit three threes to go along with his team-high 19 points, while Keaton Hughes added 14 points. Keylin Peyton was third on the team in scoring with seven points.
Owensboro Catholic 82, Muhlenberg County 70
The Aces rode a 30-point third quarter and finished with 19 steals to beat Muhlenberg County 82-70. DreMail Carothers led the way with 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals, while Luke Beickman added 25 points, six rebounds, and five steals. Davyn Randloph and Waryn Ebelhar combined for seven three-pointers.
Ohio County 73, Trinity (Whitesville) 43
Ian Roby and Hayden Aull each scored 11 points and combined for five threes in the Raiders’ 73-43 loss to Ohio County. Will Hernandez added seven points, while Connor Hatfield recorded six points.
