Panther’s wrestling takes down Owensboro and Apollo

Competing against two of their city-county rivals Daviess County emerged victorious, defeating Apollo 43-24 and Owensboro 51-30. On the night, the Panthers only dropped three varsity matches. Jah Patterson (120), Jackson Stoner (126), Aiden Ranburger (132), Parker Lowry (144), Cole Raymer (150), Kaden Nichols (157), Ollie Ezell (175), Elijah Roberts (285) all won both of their matches.

“I thought we wrestled well and showed a lot of our toughness and grit,” Daviess County head coach Colton Gonzalez said. “It was good to see where we are at compared to some of the local teams, so I was thrilled to see us perform well.”

Next up for the Panthers, they host Owensboro Catholic and Trigg County this Saturday morning with weigh-ins beginning at 9:30 and the matches kicking off at 10.
