Daviess County played to a 2-2 draw while Owensboro Catholic came up short in girls’ soccer action Friday night.

Mary Evelyn Wiman and Kate McCain both scored as Daviess County overcame an early deficit to force a draw. Bailey Brown and McCain each added an assist, while goalie Kaelin Labhart recorded six saves.
“We made a couple of mistakes to give up goals, but the girls really played tough to fight back for a 2-2 draw,” Daviess County head coach David Sandifer said. “Boyle County should be a good team and it was a good early-season game for us.”
McCracken County 8, Owensboro Catholic 0
Owensboro Catholic recorded 17 saves as they fell 8-0 to McCracken County.
“Although we lost 8-0, out team has improved and that’s all you can ask for,” Owensboro Catholic head coach Meg Patton said. “These girls are tough and aren’t giving up.”
