Despite playing the majority of the match down two players, McLean County persevered and drew with Breckinridge County 6-6 on Saturday.
Landry Humphrey filled the stat sheet, scoring a hat trick and adding two assists. Katie Frailley had two goals of her own and Alma Perez recorded three assists. Goalie Emily LeBlanc finished with four saves.
“I’m extremely proud of my team,” McLean County head coach Ricky Humphrey said. “They lost to this team 9-0 last year, so to tie 6-6 is a major improvement. They fought until the end even though they knew there were no subs. They wanted the win even more than I did. They continue to improve every game no matter what circumstances are thrown at us.”
