The Owensboro Family YMCA and Kentucky Wesleyan College are teaming up for a youth basketball camp, which will be led by KWC Coach Drew Cooper next week.
The camp will take place from July 22-25 and will train the athletes in their basketball skills and competitive playing to learn from some of the local best in the sport.
“We are excited to partner with Kentucky Wesleyan for the third year in a row,” YMCA CEO Tom Bontrager said. “This camp not only promotes athletic development but also emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Coach Cooper’s expertise and passion for the game make this an event that young athletes won’t want to miss.”
Bontrager said Cooper plans to have a space for boys and girls of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. There are no age limits on participants.
There are two camps running alongside each other: the Junior Group, ages 5-8, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and the Senior Group, ages 9-16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Junior Group registration costs $84.80 while Senior costs $159. To register, click here.
