Another city-county match took place as Apollo took on Owensboro. The E-gals took the win 4-1, and the boys’ side won a close 3-2 match.
For AHS, the girls were led in singles by an 8-1 win from Afina Winters, and Maddie Ebelhar won 8-4. In doubles, the duo of Macey Woodruff/Jessie Pate won 8-1, and Ella Hayden/Sophie Jennings lost 6-4 and won 6-4 before winning the tie breaker 10-4. For OHS, Anna Travis got the sole win at 8-5.
On the boys’ side for AHS, Ben Austin won 8-4 and Nolan Duke won 9-7. In doubles the duo of Evan Wilson/Connor O’Bryan lost 6-4 and the won 7-4 before winning the tie breaker 10-7. OHS, John Clay Ford won 6-4 and 6-0, and the duo of Walker Gaddis/Miles McDaniel won 8-3.
