Apollo came back from a 4-run deficit to snatch a district win away from Owensboro. Meanwhile, Trinity took to the road and came back with a big 11-0 win over McLean County.
AHS 7, OHS 4
Apollo defeated Owensboro 7-4 after a big fifth inning saw them come back from being down 4 runs. After this game the E-gals are 2-3 and the Lady Red Devils are 0-4 in district play.
The game started evenly as the first inning went scoreless, but OHS struck first in the second inning with 1 run. The second inning was scoreless, but things heated up in the third when Owensboro scored 3 runs to take their lead to 4-0 in the top of the inning. Apollo then got on the board getting 2 of those runs back. A 5-run performance in the fifth inning saw AHS score 5 runs to take the lead. Apollo defended their lead in the final two innings to come out with the 7-4 win.
On the mound for AHS was Hannah Holder with 2 strikeouts across 4 innings, and Mollie Julian who had 3 strikeouts across 3 innings. Holder also led at the plate with a home run, 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. Abbie Butterworth hit a double, had 1 RBI, 4 hits and 2 runs scored, and Emersyn Bullington hit a double and had 1 RBI as well. Arianna Ramirez hit a double and scored 1 run, and Tyler Hall, Liza Page and Macy Calhoun all scored 1 run.
On the mound for OHS was Alyssa Rhineburger who had 1 strikeout and 9 hits across 4 innings, and Railey Scott pitched for 2 innings allowing 4 hits. At the plate, Emmi Connor had 1 RBI and scored 1 run while Addison Hill and Hessi Johnson all had 1 RBI. Sophie Moorman, Reese Boswell and Ashleigh Howard all scored 1 run.

Trinity had a dominant 11-0 blowout win against McLean County.
Trinity got moving quickly as they held a 2-run lead at the end of the first inning. They extended their lead in the third and added 3 more to their tally in the fourth inning to make the score 8-0. They scored 3 final runs in the sixth to end the game after 6 innings at 11-0.
On the mound for the Lady Raiders was Sophie Hatfield who recorded 9 strikeouts across 6 innings while only allowing 2 hits. Kendall Howard led at the plate with 3 doubles, 4 hits and 3 runs scored. Georgia Howard had 2 RBIs and scored 2 runs, and Hope Boarman had 2 RBIs as well. Ella Morris had 1 RBI and scored 1 run, and Hatfield had 1 RBI as well. Madison McDaniel scored 2 runs, and Sarah Payne and Emma Whitehouse both scored 1 run.
