Baseball recap (April 24): DCHS

Daviess County hosted Hancock at home where they secured an 8-3 win. The Panthers now sit 12-11 on the season. 

The first two innings saw both teams look to take an early lead, but the first runs weren’t scored until dc put 3 on the board in the third inning. The following inning saw the Panthers extend their lead with 3 more runs. Hancock got on the scoreboard with 2 runs iin the top of the fifth inning, but DCHS  got those 2 runs right back in the bottom of the inning. After scoreless a sixth inning, Hancock attempted a seventh inning push, but they could only score 1 run before Daviess County shut them down and took the win at 8-3. 

On the mound for the Panthers was Brodie Tucker, who recorded 5 strikeouts and allowed 4 hits across 6 innings, and Parker Wilson had 1 strikeout in 1 inning. Brayden Wells had 3 RBIs, Brett Poole had 2 RBIs and Sean Page had 1 RBI also. Brody Brubaker had 1 RBI, 4 hits, and scored 2 runs. Noah Ranburger had 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Logan Mewes scored 2 runs, and Gavin Howard scored 1 run as well.
