Daviess County won a close 4-3 game against Breckinridge County that was decided in extra innings.
The first two innings of the game went scoreless until the third inning saw both teams get on the scoreboard. DCHS scored 3 runs in the top of the third to get a comfortable lead. Breckinridge scored a single run in the bottom of the third to bring the gap to 2 runs. After a scoreless 4th inning, Breckinridge tied the game up in the 5th inning with 2 runs. The two teams held each other scoreless in the final two innings and the game was forced into extra innings. The stalemate continued for two innings until Daviess County scored the game-winning run in the tenth inning.
Cameron Rickard had 3 hits, an RBI and he scored a run to lead the team. Sean Page had 2 hits along with an RBI. Toby Morris had 2 hits and scored 1 run. On the mound Logan Mewes and Rickard combined for 9 strikeouts. Carter Nichols threw 1 strikeout as well.
