Apollo won their first game of the season and Daviess County picked up a win as well. Trinity was defeated in a tough 11-1 loss against Hancock County. Individual stats for Trinity are currently unavailable.

AHS 3, Warren East 1

Apollo took down Warren East in a 3-1 victory at home. 

Apollo took a 2 run lead early on in the first inning. They added to their lead with their final run in the second inning, and held Warren scoreless for another inning before they scored their only run of the game in the fourth inning. Sam Holder and Easton Blandford both had RBIs on the night, and runs were scored by Holder, Grayson Smith and John Milburn. 

On the mound for the Eagles was Carter Kimmel and Ryleigh Logan who combined for 10 strikeouts while only allowing 4 hits. 

DCHS 5, McLean County 3

Daviess County secured a 5-3 win in their second game against McLean County. 

The first two innings of the saw both teams at a stalemate until DC had a big third inning scoring 3 runs. McLean put themselves on the scoreboard in the fourth inning, but the Panthers increased their cushion with 2 more runs in the fifth inning. After McLean scored 1 run in the sixth inning, DC closed out the game 5-3. 

Logan Mewes, Noah Ranburger and Cameron Rickard all had one RBI each. Ranburger, Rickard and Toby Morris each hit doubles and Brodie Tucker and Brett Poole both had 2 strikeouts on the mound.
