Connor Hatfield had a 15-point performance to lead the team in Trinity’s 79-42 defeat against regional opponents Grayson County.
Trinity was able to get their offense up and moving effectively in the first quarter as they only trailed 17-11 going into the second. Grayson’s defense began to tighten their hold on Trinity as they held them 9 points while Grayson scored 20. The game went into halftime with THS trailing 37-20. The Raiders came out in the third quarter determined to close the gap, and Will Hernandez scored 7 of the team’s 14 points. Grayson’s offense ran their momentum however, and they kept Trinity out of reach with 20 points of their own in the quarter. THS were held to 8 points in the final quarter, and the game ended 79-42 with Grayson taking the win.
Hatfield’s 15 points led the Raiders in scoring, and he shot 5 of 7 from the free throw line as well. Hernandez followed behind with 9 points on the night.
