Owensboro Catholic’s run in the All “A” State tournament continues as they had a big win over Danville Christian Academy to advance to the semifinals on Jan. 26. Trinity also played against Butler County in their game that was canceled from Dec. 9.

Owensboro Catholic had four players score in double digits in their 79-49 quarterfinal win against Danville Christian.
Owensboro Catholic started the game off strong as they established a 25-16 lead in the first quarter. They ran away with the lead in the second after the offense overwhelmed Danville Christian with 31 points in the quarter to their 14 to go into halftime at 56-30. They didn’t hold back in the third quarter as they scored another 20 points while holding Danville Christian to just 8 points. They cruised through the fourth quarter to close out the win at 79-49.
Three players scored 16 points as part of the Lady Aces big scoring effort throughout the game. Delaney Cooper scored 16 points along with 5 steals, Jenna Krampe scored 16 points with 2 steals and Hailee Johnson scored 16 points while shooting 5 of 6 from the free throw line. Karmin Riley also scored 12 points and had 5 steals on the night.
Butler Co. 59, Trinity 29
Trinity lost their rematch with Butler County 59-29.
Trinity started on the backfoot as Butler had a 15-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. THS continued to struggle in the second as they only scored 4 points to Butler’s 15. The second half saw Trinity find more success in the third quarter after scoring 11, but Butler continued to extend their lead and take the win at 59-29.
Leading the Lady Raiders in scoring Sarah Payne with 11 points and a high FT% shooting 7 of 10 from the line.
