Gage Phelps reached the 1,000-point milestone in Daviess County’s 74-68 win over Ohio County. The senior guard had 9 points during the game to contribute to the now 1,000+ points he has scored as a Panther.
The first half was nearly even as both teams sat at 16-16 at the end of the first quarter. With the help of two three pointers by Jaxon Brown and Houston Oberst, the Panthers went into halftime with a narrow 3-point lead at 32-29. DCHS were able to extend their lead to 54-44 by the end of the third quarter after outscoring Ohio 22-15. The final quarter saw both teams hold nothing back offensively as DC scored 24 to Ohio’s 20 to close out the win 74-68.
Along with his 25 points to lead the team, Moss also finished with a 100% FT% as he shot 7 of 7 from the line. Following Moss in scoring was Brown with 14 points, DeAaron Watkins with 13 points and Ayden Ayer with 10 points.
