Apollo got back to winning form after they secured a big 61-32 victory at home over Allen County-Scottsville. With this win the Eagles are now 11-10 in the season.
Apollo wasted no time getting their offense into rhythm as they made 5 three pointers as part of their 21 points in the first quarter. Their defense held Allen County to just 5 points to go into the second quarter 21-5. AHS struggled in the second quarter as they only scored 2 points, but they didn’t lose much ground as Allen County scored 7 points to go into halftime with Apollo still leading 23-12. The Eagles got back into the groove in the third quarter as they outscored Allen County 17-13 to extend their lead. Apollo closed out the game strong as the defense held Allen County to 7 points while they ran away with the lead by scoring another 21 points to finish the game at 61-31.
Leading the Eagles in scoring was Tate Powers with 12 points and 2 threes. Following close behind was Luke Jarboe with 11 points and Landon Henning with 10 points and 2 threes.
