Diamond Lanes South hosted a city-county that saw Apollo’s boys’ and girls’ teams both take the win over Owensboro.
In the boys’ competition, Apollo defeated Owensboro 7-4, giving the Red Devils only their 2nd loss of the season. With this win Apollo’s boys’ team ends their season with a record of 13-2. To help lead the Eagles to their victory, Charlie Roberts bowled a 237 and a 176, Connor Nantz bowled a 220 and a 194 and Chase Jones bowled a 215 and a 190.
For the Red Devils, Deghen Riggs led the charge bowling a 237 and a 215. Also with big games for OHS was Tristan Miller who bowled a 268 and a 191, Christian Miller who bowled a 226 and a 185, Eriksson Dean who bowled a 224 and Xaviers Coomes who bowled a 204 and a 194.
In the girls’ competition, the E-gals took down the Lady Red Devils 7-0. This win capped off the E–gals’ perfect 13-0 season. Leading the way for AHS was Madison Emmick who bowled a 224 and a 188. Sophie O’Bryan had a big game as well as she bowled two 195 games.
Chloe Cook led the Lady Red Devils bowling a 164. Owensboro are back in action on Jan. 24 as they take to the road to face Henderson County.
