Girls’ Basketball recap (Dec. 27): DCHS, OHS

Daviess County kicked off the Tonya Wells Christmas Classic on a high note with a blowout win while Owensboro lost their opening game. Owensboro fell to Franklin-Simpson in a close 49-44 game. Individual stats for the Lady Red Devils are currently unavailable.

DCHS 66, Union Co. 28

Daviess County had a blowout 66-28 victory over Union County to start the Tonya Wells Christmas Classic. 

DC had the game in their grasp early as they held a 19-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended their lead to 35-12 by halftime. They kept a hold on their lead til they finished with a final score of 66-28. 

Leading the Lady Panthers in scoring was Kennedy Lane with 24 points. Lane made 6 three pointers during the match as well. Emme Roberts and Lily Hoagland both had 11 points on the night as well. Zoey Beehn also had a notable performance after recording 7 points, 4 assists, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.
