AHS beat Logan County 10-0 with hattricks from two players, while OHS fell to Ohio County 1-11. OCHS won 3-2 in a close contest against Evansville Mater Dei. AHS’ win marks their first shutout of the season with goalkeeper Ashton Leigh making four saves during the game.
AHS 10, Logan 0
AHS had a landslide 10-0 victory over Logan County. Jolie Foster led the team in scoring with four goals. Ella Hayden also had a hattrick as well as an assist. Alana Rone scored two goals and had two assists. Kara Green scored a goal and led the team in assists with three. Maleiyah Carrico also had an assist.
OHS 1, Ohio 11
OHS suffered a tough 1-11 defeat from Ohio County’s organized offense. AHS’ lone goal was scored by Sydney Lovett from an assist by Addy Riney. Goalkeeper Emma Wilkins had 15 saves from Ohio’s 26 shots.
OCHS 3, Evansville Mater Dei 2
OCHS beat Mater Dei 3-2 with the winning goal from Aubrey Randolph. OCHS took the lead in the first half of the game. Ginny Young scored a goal from an assist by Ireland Quinn to make it 1-0. Then, Mallary Bailey scored from an assist from Peyton Reid to make the lead 2-0. Mater Dei scored two goals right before halftime to make it 2-2. OCHS fought back in the second half and won with a goal from Randolph from an assist by Allie Marston.
