After 14 straight losses to start the season, the Lady Raiders were able to finally get in the winning column with a 40-39 victory over Highlands Latin on Monday.

Trinity (Whitesville) got off to a strong start in the first half, holding Highlands Latin to single digits in both quarters while senior Josie Aull scored 14 points—12 coming off of four threes—en route to a 20-15 halftime lead. Aull kept things rolling with five of the Lady Raiders 11 in the third, helping them stay out in front 31-26.

Highlands Latin bounced back in the fourth and outscored Trinity for the first time on the night, but it was too little too late as the Lady Raiders claimed the 40-39 win. Aull led all scorers with 23 points on the night, while sophomores Kenzie McDowell and Sarah Payne added eight and seven respectively.

Trinity moves to 1-14 overall with the win and will look to add one more win on Tuesday, traveling to take on Cloverport at 6 p.m.
