Closing out the year for archery, local schools competed at the 2022 S3DA Indoor National Championship with Owensboro and Trinity standing out amongst the pack.
Owensboro had had a whopping 52 placements amongst its athletes Daviess County had 38, Trinity (Whitesville) had 26, Owensboro Catholic had 14, and Apollo had 10.
The Owensboro Archery Club also had the most number of top-three placements, led by Anslee Roberson who won first in the youth pins division with a total score of 298. Keely Sanders followed in second place in the junior eagle pins division by shooting a 139, while Kassidy Burden was third in the eagle pins division with a total score of 300.
Trinity was the only other local school that had someone place in the top-three, as Audrey Jackson finished third in the youth pins division with a score of 295.
