Daviess County is kicking off the start of the season with a bang, grabbing first place at the Henderson Invitational.
A number of local teams competed at the event, including Apollo, Owensboro and Owensboro Catholic.
Daviess County grabbed first place with a score of 315 at the Henderson Invitational. Grant Broughton led the way, earning first place with a score of 71.
Braden Whistle followed with a 76, Dawson Lamb shot an 81, Grayson Powers shot an 87, Gabe Vincent shot an 88.
Owensboro Catholic grabbed third place on the day with a total score of 333 tying with Madisonville North Hopkins. Jacob Wellman led the way for the Aces, shooting a 74 to earn third place.
Owensboro shot 364 as a team with Will Hume’s 86 leading the way, while Apollo shot a 414 with Trevor Cecil’s 90 as its top individual score.
