The Owensboro Thoroughbreds kept their playoff dreams alive against the Indy Express by coming away with a 104-100 victory despite a late comeback attempt.

After a close first quarter, Owensboro made some separation in the second quarter by heading into the locker room with a 53-42 lead.

The Thoroughbreds seemed to be breaking completely away with an 82-66 lead going into the fourth, but the Express had other ideas.

The Indy offense was reeling, cutting its deficit to 91-86 halfway through the fourth. Despite their best efforts and an uncharacteristic performance from Midwest Division All-First Team member Jaiveon Eaves for Owensboro, the Thoroughbreds were able to shut the Express down when they needed to and secured the 104-101.

Along with Eaves eight-point day, Wilford—a Midwest Division All-Second Team selection—did not play against Indy.

However, Evan Milligan stepped up with a huge 36 points on 11-21 shooting from the field and 8-9 shootin from beyond the arc to go along with eight rebounds.

Chukwama Ogbodo followed with 26 points on 8-11 shooting with a 10-14 clip from the free throw line to go along with seven rebounds overall.

The Express had five players finish in double figures, with 26 points from Josh Caldwell leading the way.

The win ties the series at 1-1 with the Thoroughbreds, now looking to pull off the upset when they take on Indy at 7 p.m. in Game Three.
