The Owensboro Bombers put on an offensive showcase to take down Boonville in dominant fashion, with a score of 14-1.

Jordan Tolle got things rolling in the top of the third with a sacrifice fly to give the Bombers the first run of the game.

After a walk, with two runners on Dan St. Claire padded their lead with a three-run shot to left field, giving Owensboro an early 4-0 lead.

Ethan Gibson furthered the pouring on of offense in the top of the fourth with an RBI single, followed by a sac-fly from Harrison Bowman to make it a 6-0 game.

Boonville showed some signs of life in the bottom of the fourth, grabbing a run thanks to a passed ball, but the Bombers came back in the fifth with a resounding response.

Tolle singled and stole second and third before being driven in on a ground out to make it a 7-1 game, only for St. Claire to quickly make it 8-1 with his second home run of the day.

Then Connor Hallmark started a two-out rally, drilling an RBI single to left. Shortly after Bowman came through again, doubling to clear the bases and give the Bombers a 12-1 lead.

Derek Hall singled to drive in Cohl Proctor and Bowman making it a 14-1 game. This lead was more than enough to give Owensboro the short-game victory after Hallmark shut the door in the bottom of the fifth.

St. Claire and Bowman led the way with four RBIs each, while St. Claire led all Bombers with a 2-4 day at the plate. Hall, Tolle and Garrett Small also registered RBIs on the day.

Now the Bombers sit at 20-4 overall and will have a day off before they return home for the first game of the Jimmy V Classic against Madisonville at Shifley Park at 8 p.m. on Friday.
