Five golfers from Owensboro came away with first place finishes, while plenty of other local golfers placed at the latest GO Junior Golf Series tournament at Ben Hawes golf course.
The five golfers that finished first in their respective divisions include Landon Harris (12 in Boys 8-under, three holes), Colby Vanover (27 in Boys 9-10, six holes), Baylie Billingsley (45 in Girls 11-12, nine holes), Jax Malone (80 in Boys 13-15, 18 holes) and Braden Whistle (75 in Boys 16-18, 18 holes).
Other notable finishes came from Willie Bushong (14 in Boys 8-under), Briley Billingsley (31 in Girls 9-10, six holes), John William Wathen (41 in Boys 11-12, nine holes), Addie-Belle Rutman (51 in Girls 11-12, nine holes), Will Hume (89 in Boys 13-15, 18 holes) and Mary Ann Lyons (98 in Girls 13-15, 18 holes).
Local golfers will gather to compete once again when the GO Junior Golf Series tournament moves to Pearl Club at the Summit on Monday, June 28.
