Several youth teams, sponsored by SportsTutor, hit the pitch in Bowling Green last weekend for the Kentucky Youth Soccer’s Presidents Cup and the Kentucky Youth Soccer’s Village Cup.

The United 06 Boys squad won the championship at the President’s Cup and now advance to the Midwest Regional in June in West Chester, Ohio.

SportsTutor’s Ty Stauffer said it was a great weekend of soccer for all of them.

“I am really proud of our teams,” he said. “All of our games were extremely competitive. Of our six teams that participated, we had four tha played in the championship match. It says a lot about not only our kids ability but the commitment of our coaches, parents and community.”

Matt Payne, the coach of 06 Boys and 10 boys, said it was a solid weekend overall for the club.

“I thought we did really well,” he said. “We had six teams that made it to the championship rounds, four made the finals and we had one champion. I thought for our club of our size, it was pretty successful.”
