Henderson County 10, Apollo 0

The Apollo E-gals could only muster one hit as they fell to Henderson County on the road Thursday. n

The Lady Colonels scored in every inning en route to the 10-0 win in five innings over Apollo.

Emmie Bullington had the lone hit, a double, for the E-gals in the loss.

Apollo plays Owensboro Catholic at 3 p.m. Monday in the first round of the 9th District Tournament at OCHS.

Trinity 7, Owensboro 1

The Trinity Lady Raiders grabbed an early lead in their matchup with Owensboro Thursday in Whitesville and never gave it up as they took down the Lady Devils 7-1.

Trinity led 2-0 after two and added to their lead throughout the game as Owensboro could only get a run across in the top of the sixth.

Allie Barnett got the win for the Raiders after she went all seven innings and struck out two while allowing just three hits.

Seven Trinity players had hits in the game while Macie Aguilar (1-3, RBI, R), Cassidy Morris (1-2, RBI, R), Georgia Howard (1-3, 2B, 2 R), Raylee Higdon (1-3, 2B, R), Abby Payne (1-2, RBI), Sara Payne (1-1, R) and Allie Graham (1-2, RBI, R) led the way for the Raiders.

For Owensboro, Kaylyn Sowders, Morgan Turner and Hadley Hughes each had hits for the Lady Devils while Sophie Moorman scored the lone run for OHS.

Owensboro plays Daviess County at 7 p.m. Monday in the first round of the 9th District Tournament at OC.
