DC’s Renfrow, Catholic’s Dickens earn OT sports honors

This week’s Owensboro Times sports honors go to Daviess County’s Decker Renfrow and Owensboro Catholic’s Lance Dickens.

Renfrow, a freshman wide receiver for the Panthers, is the Football Player of the Week after earning the most votes in the weekly poll. Renfrow had seven receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-6 win.

Dickens, a sophomore soccer player for the Aces, is the Athlete of the Week after receiving the most votes in the weekly poll. Dickens scored three goals and had two assists total in three games.

Next week’s Athlete and Football Player of the Week polls will open Monday morning and run through Wednesday at 5 p.m. Nominees will be based on names and stats submitted by coaches.

Next week will be the final Athlete of the Week award for fall sports.

Note: Winners of the weekly honors will not be eligible for nomination again.
