THURSDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ACTION:
• Lady Devils get first home win, sweep Trinity
• Lady Panthers pull out five-set win at home


LADY DEVILS GET FIRST HOME WIN, SWEEP TRINITY
Owensboro (4-12) earned their first home victory of the season with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-18) sweep against Trinity (6-8).

The Lady Devils were led by Krystell Pappas (23 assists, 4 aces, 3 kills), Armanda Pappas (10 digs, 5 kills,  2 aces), Lainey Hayden (10 kills 3 blocks 6 digs) and Jersie Rhineburger (15 digs)

Also helping out were Mia Covington (8 kills, 2 aces, 5 digs), Audretta Tyler (6 digs), Brooklyn Williams (6 kills) and Mykael Winstead (2 kills, 2 blocks).

No individual stats were available for the Lady Raiders.

Owensboro is back in action Tuesday when they host Owensboro Catholic. Trinity will play Monday at Ohio County.


LADY PANTHERS PULL OUT FIVE-SET WIN AT HOME
Daviess County bounced back from a narrow loss Tuesday to top Meade County 3-2 (16-25, 25-8, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10) in a home victory.

Leading the way for the Lady Panthers (11-3) were Hannah Axley (14 assists, 7 digs, 2 aces), Elizabeth Moore (14 kills, 3 digs, 3 blocks), Kloee Phelps (18 digs, 3 aces, 3 kills), Ryann Keller (24 assists, 2 blocks), Kendal Goetz (12 digs, 2 aces, 2 kills, 2 assists) and Kinsley Phelps (4 blocks, 3 aces, 2 kills, 6 digs).

Also contributing were Jasmine Beasley (6 blocks, 9 kills), Ashton Johnson (8 kills, 5 digs), Delaney Evans (6 digs), Kayla Clark (12 digs) and Chea Bowers (6 digs).

DC plays again Friday in the Taylor County Slamdown.
