Weston Hayden hit a three-run homer to end the game in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Red Devils (21-8) extended their win streak to 10 in their final home game of the season.
Isaac Humphrey had another solid outing on the mound in the victory, giving up an unearned run on four hits with five strikeouts through five innings.
Braxton French went 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored to help lead the offense. Trace Grenier went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Tucker Hagan had a pair of hits and two runs, while Hayden’s day also included a single and another run scored.
Owensboro Catholic 9, Butler County 2
Luke Scales went 3-for-3 with a double and scored three times to lead the Aces (18-14) to a home victory. Braden Mundy had a pair of doubles and drove in two to help the offensive effort.
Trailing 2-1, Catholic put up five runs in the fourth inning and pulled away the rest of the way. Winning pitcher Andrew Wiman went 4.0 innings, giving up two runs on five hits. Finley Munsey closed out the final three innings and allowed a single hit with three strikeouts.
Wiman also had a solid day at the plate, collecting two hits with a triple, scoring twice and driving in two.

Breckinridge County 7, Daviess County 6 (9 innings)
The Panthers (9-18) were edged in extra innings in the final road game of the season. Full stats were not available. Daviess County closes out the regular season Tuesday at home against Grayson County.
