The Kentucky Wesleyan College women’s basketball team continued their impressive season by winning their 11th game in a row, routing Findlay 72-54 at home Saturday. The Panthers set a new record with 10 consecutive wins at home.
The men fell behind early in a 68-49 loss to the No. 18 Oilers in the second game of a conference doubleheader.
WOMEN
A strong second quarter powered the Panthers (15-3, 11-1) to yet another win as four players reached double figures. Wesleyan had 16 assists on 22 made baskets.
The Panthers led a balanced attack, with Lily Grimes and Jenna Martin both scoring 12, Keelie Lamb adding 11 and Kaylee Clifford finishing with 10.
Up four after the first period, Wesleyan used a 29-10 second quarter to open up their lead. They only scored eight in the third, but they were never threatened and added to their lead in the final frame.
The Panthers finished with 12 3-pointers, four coming from Martin. Kelsey Ivers led the team with 9 rebounds to go along with 7 points.

The Panthers (7-10, 5-6) struggled offensively from the start, finishing the first half 7-for-22 from the field and 3-for-11 from 3-point range. They never found rhythm from long range, finishing 4-for-23 from deep.
Deng Mayot came off the bench to lead the team with 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Erik Bell scored 11 and had 7 rebounds, and Adam Goetz added 10 points.
