Brescia women win again; men fall to No. 15 IU East

The Brescia University women’s basketball team earned their third consecutive victory in an 83-70 comeback win over Indiana University East. The men’s team got down early and suffered their second conference loss in a row, falling 106-69 to the No. 15 Red Wolves in the RSC doubleheader.

WOMEN
The Lady Bearcats (7-14, 4-6) took down IU East (9-14, 7-4) to win their third consecutive game behind 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists from Cassidy Moss.

Brescia trailed by three after one quarter and five at the half, but they erased the deficit for a 57-56 lead by the end of the third frame. They controlled the fourth to pull away for the win.

Princess Holloway came off the bench to score 17 points, while Catherine Dunn finished with 14 and Aaliyah Rogers had 13.

MEN
The Bearcats (11-9, 8-3) struggled early on their way to a 49-29 deficit at the half, and IU East (18-6, 10-1) continued to add to the lead after the break.

The Bearcats only hit five 3-pointers, while the Red Wolves buried 14 shots from beyond the arc to do most of their damage.

Dillon Geralds was the leading scorer for Brescia with 16 points, and he added 7 rebounds. Kayode Daboiku added 13 points and 7 boards, while Damontae Barnhill scored 10.
