The Brescia University men’s basketball team added to their best start ever in River States Conference play with a convincing 97-77 home victory over Carlow University. The Bearcats won their sixth game in a row to improve to 11-7 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
The Lady Bearcats (4-14, 2-5) broke a five-game losing streak by posting a 93-70 victory in the first game of the doubleheader.
MEN
Kayode Daboiku (21 points, 11 rebounds) and Dillon Geralds (18 points, 12 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles, while Tristen Murray added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Brescia built a 49-37 advantage by halftime and added to their lead in the second period. The Bearcats had 22 assists on 31 made baskets, and they went 9-of-21 from 3-point range.

The Lady Bearcats came out hot, building a 30-13 lead after the first quarter. Catherine Dunn went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc and led the game with 24 points. Cassidy Moss added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Brescia was outscored by 5 points in the second quarter, though they closed the game strong and won each of the final two periods. They went 8-of-17 from 3-point range.
