The Brescia University basketball teams swept another doubleheader at home Saturday, both picking up conference wins over Ohio Christian University. Catherine Dunn scored her 1,000th point in the women’s victory.
The Lady Bearcats (8-14, 5-6) earned their fourth consecutive win with a 75-67 victory over the Lady Trailblazers (1-20, 0-12). The Bearcats (12-9, 9-3) rounded out the day with an 80-68 win against OCU (6-18, 2-10).
WOMEN
The Lady Bearcats got 19 points and 7 rebounds from Aaliyah Rogers to get past the Lady Trailblazers.
After a back-and-forth start, Brescia went up 21-15 after the first quarter and never trailed again. They took their largest lead at 34-22 after a free throw by Cassidy Moss with 4:09 left in the half.
Dunn scored 16 points and had 6 rebounds, while Hallie Fisher came off the bench to score 13.

MEN
The Bearcats found themselves down by three at halftime, but they pulled away in the second half to break a three-game losing streak. Brescia went 12-of-22 from 3-point range and had 20 assists on 28 made baskets.
Dillon Geralds led the team with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Damontae Barnhill added 16 points and 6 assists.
Other leading scorers were Tristen Murray with 12 points and Noah Cunningham with 11. The Bearcats stay in first place in the West Division of the conference.
