A traffic accident injured two people on Wednesday in the 2600 block of Leitchfield Rd. at 2:48 p.m. Drivers Lanita C. Johnson, 24, of the 11200 block of Butler Rd. and Mary L. Copeland, 68, of the 1900 block of Hughes Ave. were involved in the accident. Copleland was injured, along with a passenger–Latoria C. Cadet, 36, of the 1000 block of Pennbrooke Ave. Both were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.
A second-degree burglary was reported Tuesday in the 1700 block of Virginia Ct. A Playstation 4 was reported stolen at a value of $137.
In the 600 block of Jackson St. on Tuesday, a theft from a building was reported. An Xbox One and five $20 bills were reported stolen at a value of $650.
A theft by unlawful taking $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported Tuesday in the 900 block of Jackson St. An iPhone was reported stolen at a value of $750.
In the 100 block of Daviess St. on Tuesday, a third-degree arson was reported. A fire was set inside a trash can.
A theft by unlawful taking (contents stolen from inside a vehicle) $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported Tuesday in the 2500 block of W. 9th St. A backpack and an Apple Macbook Air were reported stolen at a value of $780.
In the 500 block of S. Dieterle Dr. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking (theft of an automobile) $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A 1995 Honda Civic was reported stolen at a value of $1,500.
