A single-vehicle traffic accident occurred Sunday at 7:30 in the 100 block of the Glover Cary Bridge. Kyrsten Hutchinson, 22, of the 2100 block of Churchill Ct. was driving southbound on the bridge when she lost control of the vehicle and drifted into the southbound guardrail. Afterward, Hutchinson traveled across the northbound lane and collided into the bridge’s guardrail face, leaving the roadway. The car came to a rest in an embankment next to/under the bridge. Hutchinson’s mom transported her to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where doctors say she sustained a fractured neck and brain bleed, but is believed to be in stable condition.
A traffic accident occurred Sunday at the corner of Frederica St. and W. Parrish Ave. at 5:34 p.m. William A. Irvine, 51, of the 1000 block of W. 7th St. and Kevin A. Alsup, 23, of the 2100 block of Wink Ct. were driving in the accident. Irvine was injured and transported to OHRH for injuries.
A second-degree rape was reported Sunday on Elsmere St.
A theft of property/lost/mislaid/delivered was reported Sunday in the 3100 block of KY 54. A theft by unlawful taking of a firearm was also reported. Items were stolen at an estimated value of $320.
A theft by unlawful taking was reported Monday in the 3700 block of New Hartford Rd. $504 in cash was reported stolen from a drawer behind the counter.
A theft by unlawful taking (firearm) was reported Monday in the 1400 block of Woodbridge Trl. The firearm was reported stolen at an estimated value of $535.
In the 2200 block of Bluff Ave. on Monday, a first-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking (firearm) were reported. A shotgun and a Smart TV were reported stolen at an estimated value of $17,990.
