Owensboro Police Department
A traffic accident injured one person on May 24 in the 200 block of W. Veterans Blvd. at 5:48 p.m. Timothy W. Hawkins, 54, of the 11000 block of Old Leitchfield Rd. was driving one vehicle in the wreck but was uninjured. A passenger in the second vehicle was injured and taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.
A theft by unlawful taking (theft of an automobile) $500 or more and under $10,000 and a theft by unlawful taking (theft of a controlled substance) under $10,000 were reported Thursday in the 1500 block of Frederica St. Percocet and a moped were reported stolen at a value of $900.
In the 4800 block of New Hartford Rd. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking (theft of contents taken from inside a vehicle) $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A purse and $1,000 cash were reported stolen at a value of $1,470.
A first-degree criminal mischief was reported Friday in the 400 block of W. 3rd St. Seven windows were reportedly broken.
In the 600 block of Poindexter St. on Friday, a theft by unlawful taking (theft of an automobile) $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A vehicle was reported stolen at a value of $1,000.
