• Diego Victor Alonzo, 24, of the 3000 block of Benttree Drive was charged Monday with first-degree strangulation.
• Robert Lee Howell, 42, of the 1000 block Independence Avenue was charged Monday with third-degree burglary.
• Alexander Modestin, 28, of Fort Pierce, Fla., was charged Monday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
