
Hildegarde Kiper Hinton, age 71 of Westview, KY died unexpectedly on January 20, 2022 at Celebration Hospital in Kissimmee, FL. She was born February 21, 1950 to Roy and Delores Shrewsbury Kiper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two stillborn sisters Brenda Kay and Deborah Lynn Kiper.
Hildegarde is survived by Charlie, her loving husband of 45 years.
Three children Jeremy (Susan) Hinton, Jeffrey (Angie) Hinton and Lori Beth (Wes) Henning. She is the proud Nana of nine grandchildren: Britain, Morgan, Jaylyn, Aiden, Christian, Owen, Vivian, John Caleb, Waylon and one great granddaughter Lennon.
Hildegarde graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 1968 and earned a Master’s degree in elementary education from Western Kentucky University. She is a retired educator from the Breckinridge County School system where she made an impression and touched the lives of so many in our community. She is the foundation of her family and she knew she was deeply loved. Hildegarde never met a stranger. She had the most beautiful hair and an unmistakable laugh that could be heard for miles. She loved cooking big family meals, spending time with her family and friends, watching college basketball games, cheering on her children and grandchildren at every activity, shopping, traveling, and camping with her husband. She was a busy woman, always on the go and lived life to the fullest to the very last moment.
Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022 beginning at 1 PM CST followed by a memorial service at 5 PM CST.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hardinsburg Elementary School PTO in memory of Hildegarde which will be donated to the teacher’s educational supply fund.
