Leon Allen, 73, of Owensboro, died on Friday September 21, 2018 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on December 26, 1944 in Daviess County to the late Ray and Edna Pendleton Allen. He was a member of Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church, enjoyed visiting the American Legion, and a longtime worker at the 8Ball where he racked the billiard balls for many years , he also loved music, politics, sports, and especially the UK Wildcats. Leon was also preceded in death by his sisters, Margie Kennedy, Mildred Scott and Mary Jane Bowlds.
Survivors include a niece, his guardian, Sheila Sparks along with several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm. Monday September 24, 2018 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
