
Jonathan Tyler Horton, 26, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was born June 15, 1992 to Nancy Horton and Russell Powers both of Owensboro. He enjoyed making people laugh, listening to music, fishing, and playing video games. Cooking was also a passion of his, especially grilling. He liked to watch UK and Chicago Bulls basketball. Air Jordan’s were always his shoe of choice. Jonathan, above all, loved being a father to his daughter, Adalynn. He was always a great, reliable friend to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Ronald “Ronnie” Horton and his paternal grandmother, Bonita Gale Powers.
Survivors include his daughter, Adalynn Horton of Owensboro; his sisters, Hannah and Emme Powers of Owensboro; his wife, Vanessa Horton of Owensboro; his maternal grandmother, Kazuko Horton; his paternal grandfather, Gene Powers of Owensboro; his aunts, Sonya Johnson (Todd) of Owensboro and Gina Board (Lee) of Lewisport; his uncle, Thomas Ronald Horton, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL.
The service will be 2PM Saturday, September 15 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Patrick Donahue will officiate. The burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The visitation will be 4-8PM Friday and 12 noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Adalynn Horton Educational Fund at Daviess County Teachers Federal Credit Union.
