She graduated from Sullivan University as a chef in Louisville, KY and cooking was her passion. She would feed anyone she met. If she knew you, she loved you and your family. Janel was the “Madea” of her family and will truly be missed by those who knew her.
Janel was proceeded in death by her parents, Minnie and Elvis Moss; her late husband, Bruce Davis; her sister, Gwendolyn “Beana” Acton; and her brother, James “Bubba” Acton.
She leaves to cherish those beautiful memories her loving family which includes her daughters, Jori Ann Moss and Sydney Jean Moss; one son, William Lawrence Merriweather; three grandchildren, KeAnthony Avion Merriweather, Zyhir Jamel Moss, and Zaharah Noella Mulinda; two sisters, Janice Moss and Georgia “Georgie” Moss; three brothers, Charles Hatchett, William “Bill” Moss, and Elvis “Bucky” Moss.
Although Janel will truly be missed, we take comfort in knowing she’s still here in spirit watching over for whom she cared and loved.
