Sidney Lee Guy Henderson, 94, of Owensboro, passed Saturday, July 6, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 25, 1925 in Clearwater, Florida to the late Cathenia and A.B. Guy. She and her family moved to Kentucky during the depression to live on the family farm near Bowling Green, where as a young woman she met her soulmate the late Morris Miles Henderson. They were happily married for 72 years, until his death in 2018. She was a homemaker and member of Third Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Leona Guy Dudley.
Survivors include her son, David (Cheryl) Henderson of Owensboro; her daughter, Diana (Windy) Kretman of Owensboro; her two grandsons, Chris Henderson (Stephanie) and Dylan (Shannon) Henderson all of Owensboro; her granddaughter, Ashley (Brian) Tinius of Owensboro; and her great-grandchildren, Sidney, Kirsten and Caroline Henderson, Cole and Mack Henderson, and Carly, Maren, and Rachel Tinius.
