
Cynthia Hines Conklin, 92, of Owensboro, KY peacefully entered into her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 while under the care of Hospice at Wellington Parc of Owensboro. She now dwells there with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and will once again see, her husband, the love of her life, James Clinton (J.C.) and her mother, Hattie Lee Tuttle Hines, and her father, Jesse Hines. Cynthia was born in Breckinridge County, KY on April 4, 1927. Cynthia had many talents that her mother instilled in her. Her favorite was making floral arrangements for the church altar at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she also taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Bells of Ireland Flower Club.
Survivors include three sons, Troy Thomas (Janie) Conklin of Martinsville, IN, Mark Hines (Jo Ann) Conklin of Bowling Green, KY, and Keith (Dot) Conklin of Owensboro; her grandchildren, whom she loved and would always tell anyone who listened, they are absolutely perfect, James Conklin of Martinsville, IN, Jed Conklin (Courtney) of Spokane, Washington, Kit (Claire) Conklin of Knoxville, TN, Shannon (L.J.) Gibbs of Bowling Green, KY; three step-grandchildren, Robert, Eddie, and David Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly Gibbs of Bowling Green, KY, Maeve Conklin and Calhoun Conklin, both of Spokane, WA. In addition to her family, Cynthia loved her church family and her special CPW ladies.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Leitchfield, KY. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
