Ray was an avid boater and water skier. He was often at Rough River Lake with his son and family there on the water. He taught many of them to water-ski on his boat. Ray also spent many weekends with his son, Will, taking him to his ice hockey games and spending time with him. He loved gardening, growing tomatoes and grilling. Ray and Will would travel to Gethsemani Monastery to visit his “Uncle Dan” who was a Trappist Monk. Those visits were with all his sisters, brother and all the nieces and nephews. These days were a special time for Ray’s mom and all his family.
Ray is survived by his son, William Raymond Duffy of Louisville; brother, James T. (Donna) Duffy of Owensboro; sisters, Victoria L. Roberts of Raleigh, North Carolina, Susan R. (Bob) Garwood of Burlington, KY, Marion “Mimi” M. (Greg) Bates of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
