Doug Hinton, age 74 of Balltown, KY passed away April 21, 2025, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1951, son of the late Gerald and Rosemary O’Connell Hinton. Doug retired from P & L Railway where he was a welder. He is a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Doug enjoyed farming and living on the land where he was born in Balltown. He spent time hunting, trap shooting and fishing and when his health declined, he fed the fish.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Sue Crouch.
Doug is survived by his wife Mona Triplett Hinton of Balltown, KY.

1 brother-in-law: Ernie Crouch of Louisville, KY

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, 3:30 – 8 PM and Thursday after 8:30 AM. All times are central.
