Nikki Cabbage Christian

Nikki Cabbage Christian 47, of Sacramento, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Nikki Anthony Ra’ Cabbage was born June 12, 1977 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Anthony Ray and Kimbra Ann Bailey Cabbage and was married to the father of her children, Jarrod Donovan Christian on December 6, 1997.

Nikki was a 1995 graduate of McLean County High School. She was a registered nurse at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford and a member of Sacramento Baptist Church.

Nikki was a loving and caring woman, who shared a love with whatever she was in contact with. Whether you had 2 legs, 4 legs, no legs, fur, feathers, or scales, she loved you all the same. Nikki worked as a nurse in the medical field for 20 years. She loved her job and all of the friends she made along the way.

Nikki also volunteered as a wildlife rehabilitator. From a very young age, she had a passion for everything outdoors and a true love for caring for all of God’s creatures. She was a provider of many things. The provider of needs at work and also at home. Nursing and wildlife rehabilitation gripped her heart probably the hardest. The sick and injured were in very capable and caring hands with Nikki. The greatest reward for Nikki was watching all of them either walk, fly, hop, scurry, or slither away. In each instance, she was able to feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment knowing that she was able to help each one just by lending a helping hand. From patients to predators, strangers to scavengers, Nikki helped them all.

Nikki will be truly missed by a lot of people. She has forever made a lasting impression on everyone she was ever in contact with.

Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Cabbage and by her grandfathers, Melvin Cabbage and James Bailey.

Nikki is survived by a son, Jackson Christian (Savannah Healy) of Sacramento; a daughter, Jaci Christian of Sacramento; the father of her children, Jarrod Christian of Sacramento; her “man friend”, Ed Rhinerson of Windy Hollow; a granddaughter, Blair Avery Christian; her mother, Kim Miller (Wendell) of Sacramento; her grandmothers, Katherine Cabbage and Annatta Bailey both of Sacramento; a sister, Natalie Hardin (Brent) of Sacramento; four nephews, Jaden Dukes, Cameron Dukes, Zach Hardin, and Luke Hardin; several cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Sacramento Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Sacramento.
